Carl Thompson Honored by the GCSAA

CourseCo is proud to announce that Carl Thompson, Golf Course Superintendent at Columbia Point Golf Course, has been honored as the Runner Up recipient of the 2019 Healthy Land Stewardship Award. The Healthy Land Stewardship Award recognizes effective strategies for efficient use of pesticides and nutrients as well as pollution prevention. This is the second consecutive year that Carl has earned national environmental leadership recognition as he was awarded the 2018 National Resources Conservation Award presented by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and Golf Digest.
 
Carl is a long tenured CourseCo superintendent, a former winner of our Superintendent of the Year award, and a recognized leader within CourseCo for environmental excellence.
 
Carl is one of three CourseCo superintendents receiving ELGA honors for 2019. Our award winning superintendents will be recognized Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the 2020 Golf Industry Show in Orlando. Winners will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Golf Digest and in the February 2020 issue of GCSAA’s official publication, Golf Course Management magazine.
